CDM Concord Masonry was founded in 2023 right here in Concord, California. The business grew out of a straightforward problem: too many homeowners in Contra Costa County were calling larger contractors and getting crews who had never set foot in the Diablo Valley - people with no real understanding of how local clay soil behaves, how seismic activity affects masonry, or what Concord's wet winters and dry summers do to brick and mortar over time.
Most homes in Concord were built between the 1950s and 1970s, and a lot of them are showing it - cracked driveways, spalling chimney mortar, foundations that have shifted through decades of seasonal soil movement. Those homes deserve a contractor who understands the conditions and takes the work seriously. That is what we set out to be, and it is still what drives us.
Since 2023, we have completed masonry projects across 12 cities in the East Bay - from foundation work and chimney repair to retaining walls, driveway pavers, and outdoor kitchen builds. Every project gets the same attention: proper permits, honest estimates, and work that holds up. We are not the biggest contractor in the area, and that is intentional. Staying local means staying accountable.
We pull permits when required and welcome inspections. You get documentation that the job was done right - which matters when it comes time to sell.

California C-29 Masonry Contractor License, issued by the California Contractors State License Board. Required for all structural masonry and concrete work on residential properties in California.
Full general liability insurance on every job. If anything goes wrong on your property during our work, you are protected. We carry coverage so you do not have to worry about it.
We are bonded per California contractor requirements - a financial guarantee that protects you if contracted work is not completed as agreed.
